How to etch beautiful, personalised and unique designs on to kitchen cookware

Hello good people, Stay tuned to our blog pages, as I intend to show you how to etch beautiful patterns on to all sorts of metallic items. The video will include how to build a simple, cheap etching tank and use everyday items like black plastic rubbish sacks, scrap wood, sea salt, glossy magazine paper, a printer and a battery charger to start making beautiful designs on every day items.

One of the first designs I hope to achieve, is etching a picture of my recently departed mum onto a piece of aluminium plate. Once I have etched the portrait onto the ally plate, I will then reverse the process and deposit copper on the raised sections, so the relief part of the portrait (the proud sections) will be copper plated. I will then protect these raised sections and use silver solder (which can be obtained from any pipe centre), on to the etched sections, so as the copper plating is highlighted by the silver solder.

STAY TUNED FOR THE VIDEO.
